DESIGN :: The unique blend of RHS and Design School Knowledge has enabled English Heritage Gardens to have design a variety of fine gardens that have fulfilled dreams and aspirations.

Our focus is on the design of timeless traditional gardens, but with an eye to the needs of modern day living. Within this flexible framework, any necessary to buildings, areas for storage or the pursuit of leisure activities are incorporated into the designs.

Our designs are achieved by shared communication of ideas, needs and wishes. Through consultation and an on-site survey, initial concepts are gleaned for the preparation of a scale plan and further visual forms of presentation for discussion.

The final design includes a scale plan, perspective drawings and a full planting scheme.

GARDEN CARE :: English Heritage Garden's provide tailor made maintenance schedules and a team of highly skilled staff to care for your gardens needs. The schedules may be set annually, quarterly, monthly or as deemed appropriate. A consultation may be all that is required. In addition our team has many areas of expertise. These include the following:

Pruning – Fruit, Topiary, Shrubs, Climbers, Roses

Training - Climbers, Roses, Fruit Trees

Border Improvement – Splitting and dividing herbaceous perennial, Re-homing/removing overgrown shrubs, Natural support cages for herbaceous perennials and climbers, Fertilising and weed control

Lawn Care – Drainage, Feeding, Weed/Moss control, Top Dressing

Specialist Plant Care – Tropical Plants Winter Protection, Disease/Pest Control

Natural Management – Coppicing, Native Hedgerows, Ponds, Meadows

We are happy to liaise and work with gardeners already engaged in the maintenance or development of the garden.

PLANTING :: English Heritage Gardens are passionate about plants. Plants are the key to creating a fine garden.

Our planting services include: Orchards, Arboretums, Park Land, Meadows, Borders, Hedge-rows, Seasonal Bedding and Planting Schemes.

RESTORATION :: We restore and rebuild walls, steps, follies and garden buildings in keeping with overall garden design.
